A juror who listened to a sex case and then carried out a sexual assault in Bristol while temporarily insane has been handed a 12-month supervision order.
I cant believe that they actually let him sit trial in a sex case! What is this world coming to?

So Hannah Saaf has now appeared in court. Looks like she was running away because she shouldnt have been driving her car in the first place. I would like to know what she was thinking when she zoomed off in the car, which resulted in the death of a young boy.

Well what a sad story - a tragedy all round. A warning to youngsters out on a night out in Bristol City Centre!
Just watching the video brings the whole tragedy to life.

Listen to this: a man who suffers from OCD who cant walk on cracks in the road is doing the Bristol 10k tomorrow. Got to say - good on him, but what a nightmare!

Come forward Hannah
The parents of the boy who was killed by a hit and run driver is asking the woman to come out of hiding. All I can say is it would be better for her to hand herself in now rather than make things worse for herself!
John Hogan inquest ruling quashed - over his mental state!
So there is to be another inquest into the death of the the little boy, Liam, who was pushed off the balcony in Crete - because his father, John Hogan's mental health was not taken into consideration...
It seems that his sister asked to overturn the unlawful killing verdict on the grounds that Mr Hogan was “not in control of his actions” because of his psychotic state.
Surely, we all know that this is not normal behaviour and one would have to look at the mental state of the person who does such a thing. Stating the bleeding obvious i would say!

The Bristol woman wanted for the hit and run, has been named by police today.
She ran into a boy, who later died in hospital. The car was out of control but the trouble was - the woman ran off as soon as the car stopped. She hasnt been seen since.
My question is why did she run away? what has she got to hide? I can imagine that she would be traumatised, but to run aaway from the scene? That is unforgiveable. It will be interested to see what the outcome is.

An eleven year-old girl from Downend has tested positive - let's hope she's makes a full recovery and the virus doesnt spread.

Troy Atkinson A boy died after he was run over in Bristol City Centre. A lot of his friends and family have left comments on thisisbristol - including his mum who called him her "Creme Egg"! Hard on the outside but soft in the centre. I know it is really wrong, but that just conjures up the image of the new creme egg adverts!

Looks like you have to be careful where you go for a drink in Bristol! This guy who intervened between a rowing couple was punched and then kicked in the head. He died in hospital!

Can you believe that someone would stoop so low!

Bristol legend Mark Regan plays his final competitive match tonight at Leicester. It's sad day for rugby fans everywhere - but good news for front rows everywhere!

We are always complaing about the bad behaviour of our youth in society. Well, this story shows that even suposed responsible members of the community are not setting a good example.
Feast your eyes on this badly behaved copper!

So, I read that Bristol City football club may get its new stadium with the news that the chairman of the club has sold £47million of his shares in Hargreaves Lansdown to help the cause.
Not sure if it is the place to host the World Cup fixtures in 2018 but I'll be keeping an eye on the progress.

Hygiene has gone down the pan in Bristol hospitals
Having been to Bristol's Southmead Hospital myself, I am glad to see that I am not the only person who has complained about the standard of hygiene in the toilets. Two ladies have also noticed the standard is not up to scratch - is this the norm now for hospital toilets across the UK?

The big traffic debate continues!
Bus fares in the Bristol area are too high and must be lowered to get more drivers out of their cars, according to two city MPs. Interesting debate going on about Bristol First buses and other modes of transport in the city.

Famous faces around Bristol
Hi,
I thought I would start my first post off with a bit of celebrity spotting!
I saw TV presenter Monty Halls running around Ashton Court with a dolphin on his back! He was being filmed too! I run half marathons - couldn't imagine doing a full marathon - with or without a big fish on my back! Yes, I know dolphins are mammals, but it doesn't read as well!
